Authentication bypass via missing provider enabled check
Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Improper authorization in Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.4 allows remote attackers to authenticate through a disabled identity provider. IdentityBrokerService.performLogin retrieves the provider by alias but does not verify IdentityProviderModel.isEnabled() before continuing the broker flow. Exploitation requires valid session_code and tab_id values, knowledge of the provider alias, and user interaction; success bypasses an administrator's disable action.
