Browser session compromise via stored package metadata
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
Stored XSS in IngEstate Server 11.14.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in other users' browsers via edited package details. The PUT /emgui/rest/appDatasheet/ endpoint stores About application, What's news, and Release note values without neutralizing active markup before the Software Package List renders them. An authenticated dashboard account is required to alter an entry, and execution occurs when another user views the compromised information, exposing that browser session to hijacking, credential theft, or actions as the victim.
