Service crash via CDR null dereference
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in free5GC 4.0.1 CDR processing allows attackers to crash the service by supplying a crafted payload. The public record does not identify the CDR field, function, or object that is dereferenced without validation. Reachability requires delivery of the crafted payload to the CDR processing path; the bounded consequence is a service crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
