CVE-2026-30068Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service crash via unbounded provisioning request body

Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Improper input validation in free5GC 4.0.1 UDM allows remote attackers to crash the service with an oversized provisioning request. HandleUpdate reads the entire request body with c.GetRawData() without a size limit or streaming, allowing memory use to grow until UDM terminates. Network access to the UDM parameter-provisioning endpoint is required; the demonstrated result is process termination from memory exhaustion.
