AMF crash via malformed SUCI array indexing
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Denial of service in free5GC 4.0.1 allows remote attackers to crash the AMF via crafted SUCI data in a UE registration request. The GetSUCI method indexes the parsed mobile-identity array after an invalid PLMN and inconsistent length fields produce an invalid index. An SCTP-connected UE registration path is required; the resulting runtime panic stops the AMF and blocks legitimate registrations.
