AMF crash via improper multipart deserialization
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Denial of service in free5GC 4.1.0 allows remote attackers to crash the AMF process via a crafted multipart request. The HTTPCreateUEContext handler passes multipart/related content to openapi.Deserialize, whose slice reflection calls FieldByName and panics. Network access to the Namf Communication CreateUEContext endpoint is sufficient; exploitation stops AMF service availability without reported data access or modification.
