CVE-2026-30007Public exploit

Process crash via TIFF use-after-free

Published Mar 23, 2026 · Updated Mar 23, 2026

Use-after-free in XnSoft NConvert 7.230 allows local users to crash the image-conversion process via a crafted TIFF file. The published reproducer shows TIFF conversion reaching RtlpFreeHeap and dereferencing the invalid 0xfefefefe pointer, causing an access violation. The crafted file must be supplied to the local command-line utility for processing; public evidence demonstrates a process crash, not code execution.
