Authenticated SSRF via chartURL option injection
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
SSRF in KubePlus 4.1.4 allows remote authenticated users with Provider privileges to access internal HTTP services through chartURL. The mutating webhook URL-encodes the ResourceComposition chartURL without validating its destination, while kubeconfiggenerator concatenates it into a wget command that accepts injected --header options. Provider-level access is required; successful exploitation can send attacker-chosen headers to internal or cloud metadata services and disclose reachable credentials.
