SQL query manipulation via unescaped column defaults
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
SQL injection in SchemaHero 0.23.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter PostgreSQL queries through a crafted Table CRD. The PostgreSQL columnAsInsert function in plugins/postgres/lib/column.go inserts a column default into quoted SQL without escaping embedded quotes. Exploitation requires permission to create Table CRDs; with immediateDeploy enabled, the malicious schema is applied automatically and can disclose the database user or server version.
