Unauthenticated internal service access via setup checks
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
SSRF in Invoice Ninja 5.12.46 and 5.12.48 allows remote attackers to make the server connect to arbitrary hosts through setup check endpoints. CheckDatabaseRequest authorizes database and mail checks that accept attacker-selected host and port values and initiate outbound connections without restricting destinations. The public proof of concept reports unauthenticated reachability, while CISA-ADP scores exploitation as requiring low privileges; successful use exposes reachable internal services and cloud metadata.
