Local SYSTEM escalation via physical-memory mapping IOCTL
Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026
Privilege escalation in EnTech Taiwan PowerStrip 3.90.736 and earlier allows local users to gain SYSTEM access through a crafted IOCTL request. The pstrip64.sys sub_11340 dispatcher passes IOCTL 0x80002008 input to sub_11000, which maps caller-selected physical memory into the requesting process. A low-privileged Windows session can use the resulting physical-memory read/write primitive to replace its process token and gain SYSTEM privileges.
