Stored XSS via unescaped post class attributes
Published Apr 18, 2026 · Updated Apr 18, 2026
Stored XSS in Contextual Related Posts 4.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through other_attributes. The rendering path passes the stored other_attributes value into post_class() output without context-appropriate attribute escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload; the script then runs in browsers that render an affected page.
