CVE-2026-2983Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated teacher-account creation via unguarded bulk import

Published Feb 23, 2026 · Updated Feb 23, 2026

Authentication bypass in SourceCodester Student Result Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to create active teacher accounts. The import_users.php endpoint accepts an unauthenticated Excel upload, parses its rows, and inserts each row into tbl_staff with the Teacher role. No session or administrator-level authorization check precedes the import, so network access to the endpoint is sufficient to obtain an active application account.
