CVE-2026-29784Network attack vector

Site takeover via cross-session one-time code reuse

Published Mar 7, 2026 · Updated Mar 7, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in Ghost 5.101.6 through 6.19.2 allows remote attackers to take over a site via a phishing-assisted staff login flow. The /session/verify endpoint accepted a one-time code generated for the same user in a different login session because token generation and verification omitted session-specific context. Successful exploitation requires a staff user to participate in the phishing flow, after which the attacker's session is authenticated as that user.
