Unauthenticated event injection via loopback trust
Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Authentication bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.2.12 allows remote attackers to inject BlueBubbles message and reaction events. The BlueBubbles webhook monitor accepts a request as authenticated when req.socket.remoteAddress is loopback, without requiring the configured secret or checking forwarding headers. Exposure requires the optional plugin and a reverse proxy that connects over loopback, so the attacker must reach the proxied webhook endpoint.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
