Local file disclosure via unrestricted mediaPath reads
Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Path traversal in OpenClaw before 2026.2.14 allows remote attackers to read local files through the enabled BlueBubbles extension. The sendBlueBubblesMedia function treats each non-HTTP mediaPath as a local path and reads it directly without requiring an allowed root or checking canonical-path containment. Exploitation requires the BlueBubbles extension to be installed and enabled and exposes files readable by the OpenClaw process as outbound media attachments.
