CVE-2026-2961Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unchecked submit-url copy

Published Feb 23, 2026 · Updated Feb 23, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DWR-M960 1.01.07 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted submit-url value. The sub_4196C4 handler in /boafrm/formVpnConfigSetup copies submit-url into the fixed-size wizard_htm buffer with strcpy without checking its length. A valid session and VPN-setting values that pass internal validation are required; exploitation can crash the web server or redirect its execution flow.
