CVE-2026-29608

Unintended script execution via wrapper argv rewriting

Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026

Argument injection in OpenClaw 2026.3.1 allows local users to execute unintended scripts through approved system.run commands. The node-host approval planner unwraps env sh -c, replaces argv[0] with /bin/sh, and leaves an extra sh argument that the shell treats as a script path in the approved working directory. Exploitation requires control of wrapper arguments and a local sh file plus operator approval of the displayed command, allowing code execution under the node host.
