Unauthenticated webhook handling via signature bypass
Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Authentication bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.2.14 allows remote attackers to submit forged Twilio voice-call webhook events. The verifyTwilioWebhook function treated failed signature checks as successful for loopback requests using an ngrok free-tier URL when the compatibility option was set. The optional extension is disabled by default; exploitation requires explicit enablement, a public webhook, and the compatibility setting, and causes unauthorized event handling or request flooding.
