Configuration modification via missing setup.cgi CSRF checks
Published Mar 16, 2026 · Updated Mar 16, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Shenzhen Hereta ETH-IMC408M firmware 1.0.15 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify configuration. The setup.cgi handler accepts state-changing requests without CSRF validation while browsers automatically attach cached HTTP Basic Authentication credentials. A victim with an authenticated management session must load an attacker-controlled page, enabling forged requests to add RADIUS accounts, alter network settings, or run diagnostics.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
