Unauthenticated command execution via xajaxargs shell injection
Published Feb 22, 2026 · Updated Feb 22, 2026
OS command injection in VaelsysV4 4.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through crafted xajaxargs POST data. tree_server.php inserts a supplied timezone value into a shell command without neutralizing separators such as semicolons. No authentication is required, and injected commands run with the web service account's access, including the ability to write a persistent PHP web shell.
