Browser script execution via unencoded URL path
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Reflected XSS in Lucee 5.3.1.95 through 7.0.0.395 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted URL path. The URL path parser reflects embedded HTML or JavaScript from the request path into the response without output encoding. Exploitation requires a victim to visit the crafted link; script then runs in the Lucee application's browser context, enabling session theft or unauthorized administrative actions.
