Unauthenticated stored XSS via inadequate title sanitization
Published Apr 4, 2026 · Updated Apr 4, 2026
Stored XSS in Visitor Traffic Real Time Statistics 8.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through page_title. The unauthenticated ahc_add_hit AJAX path passes the POST value in ahcfree_add_hit through an inadequate sanitization helper before storing it. When an administrator opens Traffic by Title, the stored payload executes in the WordPress administrative origin and can act with that session's privileges.
