Authenticated router crash via unchecked remark copy
Published Feb 22, 2026 · Updated Feb 22, 2026
Buffer overflow in Shanghai Aitai HiPER 810G 1.7.7-171114 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the router. The /goform/ConfigExceptMSN handler passes the attacker-controlled remark value to strcpy without checking its length, overwriting the destination buffer. High-privilege management access is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates abnormal process termination and service interruption.
