Authenticated web-server crash via unbounded submit-url copy
Published Feb 22, 2026 · Updated Feb 22, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DWR-M960 1.01.07 allows remote authenticated users to crash its web server via an HTTP request. With save_apply present, sub_42B5A0 in /boafrm/formBridgeVlan copies the untrusted submit-url value into fixed-size wizard_htm using strcpy without a length check. Access to the router's configuration endpoint is required; the published reproduction leaves the web server and device unreachable, while code execution is unverified.
