Contributor-level script execution via unsanitized imageLoad
Published Apr 4, 2026 · Updated Apr 4, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Jegstudio Gutenverse 3.4.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via imageLoad. The plugin accepts imageLoad block data without sufficient input sanitization and later renders it without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; injected scripts execute in the browser of any user who opens the affected page, enabling actions within that user’s session.
