Authenticated local file read via broad allowlist
Published May 19, 2026 · Updated May 19, 2026
Path traversal in Apache OFBiz before 24.09.06 allows remote authenticated users to read local files through the Content component. The LOCAL_FILE and LOCAL_FILE_BIN handlers accept canonical paths anywhere under OFBiz home because the default allowlist covers that entire tree. Low-privilege Content access is sufficient, exposing files readable by the OFBiz process with no reported code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
