Cross-host resource access via JWT authorization bypass
Published Mar 7, 2026 · Updated Mar 7, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Gravitl Netmaker before 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to read, modify, or delete other hosts' resources. The Authorize middleware accepts any valid host JWT on routes marked hostAllowed and skips resource-specific ownership checks for the supplied node or host identifier. Exploitation requires a valid host token and knowledge of another object's identifier, and it exposes cross-host data and state-changing API operations without granting broader administrative access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
