Session token disclosure via task-log redaction bypass
Published Mar 7, 2026 · Updated Mar 7, 2026
Sensitive-data exposure in Spotify Backstage before 3.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to read secrets from task event logs. The scaffolder backend's log-redaction path fails to remove secrets from task events emitted by malicious templates. Exploitation requires permission to register a catalog template and a victim who runs it; exposure is limited to secrets present in that task's logs.
