Cross-site scripting via unescaped FTP listing links
Published Jun 8, 2026 · Updated Jun 8, 2026
Cross-site scripting in mod_proxy_ftp in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.67 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script via FTP listings. In modules/proxy/mod_proxy_ftp.c, directory-entry names are URI-escaped but inserted into HTML href attributes without HTML attribute escaping. An attacker-controlled FTP listing must be exposed through a forward or reverse proxy, and a user must view it; script then runs in the user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
