Contributor-level post disclosure via unchecked clone target
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
Insecure direct object reference in Happy Addons for Elementor 3.21.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to clone others' posts. The ha_duplicate_thing handler accepts a user-controlled post_id, while can_clone checks only edit_posts and uses a nonce not bound to that object. Contributor-level access and a nonce from an authorized post are sufficient to copy another user's content, metadata, and taxonomies into an attacker-owned draft.
