Root-protected file disclosure via SUID date

Improper privilege management in the SFX2100 Satellite Receiver allows local users to read root-protected files through SUID date. The root-owned /bin/date retains its effective privileges, and its -f option parses an attacker-selected file while echoing each line in error output. A low-privileged Linux shell is required; the demonstrated read exposes text secrets such as /etc/shadow but grants neither file writes nor code execution.
