Draft-content disclosure via attacker-chosen preview tokens
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
CSRF in Craft CMS 4.x before 4.17.4 and 5.x before 5.9.7 allows remote attackers to read unpublished content via preview tokens. PreviewController::actionCreateToken accepts previewToken from a GET request and stores it without validating its server-signed hash. Exploitation requires a logged-in control-panel user with active preview authorization to follow a link, plus knowledge of the entry ID and path; the token exposes only content within that preview scope.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
