Host file disclosure via export path traversal
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Path traversal in SuiteCRM before 7.15.1 and 8.0.0 through 8.9.2 allows remote authenticated users to expose readable host files. The action_exportCustom function passes unneutralized modules and name path segments to exportCustom, which builds paths used to copy directories. ModuleBuilder access, generally restricted to administrators, is required; copied directories become web-accessible without altering or interrupting the service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
