CVE-2026-29071Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated memory disclosure via unchecked collection names

Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026

Authorization bypass in Open WebUI before 0.8.6 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' private memories. The query_collection_handler function trusts caller-supplied collection_names and queries predictable user-memory-{UUID} and file-{UUID} collections without verifying ownership. A regular account is sufficient; memory theft requires the experimental Memory feature, while private-file disclosure also requires a separately obtained file UUID.
