CVE-2026-29055Public exploitNetwork attack vector

EXIF disclosure via unprocessed WebP and GIF uploads

Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026

Sensitive metadata exposure in Tandoor Recipes before 2.6.0 allows remote attackers to read EXIF data from WebP and GIF recipe photos. The handle_image() function in cookbook/helper/image_processing.py returns WebP and GIF uploads unchanged instead of rescaling them and stripping metadata. An attacker must be able to view the affected recipe; exposed fields include GPS coordinates, camera model, timestamps, and software information.
