Reflected XSS via unescaped RSS tag identifier
Published Mar 6, 2026 · Updated Mar 6, 2026
Reflected XSS in dgtlmoon changedetection.io before 0.54.4 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted RSS tag URL. The tag.py error path inserts the tag_uuid path value into a plain Flask string response without HTML escaping, causing an HTML content type. Exploitation requires a valid RSS token and victim navigation to the crafted URL, after which script runs in the application's origin and can access session-scoped data.
