CVE-2026-28995Public exploit

Local sandbox escape via controlled file write

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Sandbox escape in Apple iOS and iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS allows local users to write files outside app sandboxes. The App Intents framework accepts a sandboxed app request and performs a controlled file write to an attacker-chosen location beyond that sandbox. A malicious app must already execute locally; authoritative public evidence demonstrates controlled file creation but does not establish broader resource access.
