Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Improper access control in Shortcuts in Apple operating systems allows local users to access user-sensitive data through an app. Shortcuts fails to require an additional user-consent prompt before exposing the data; Apple has not disclosed the affected request or data class. A locally installed app with ordinary user privileges can trigger the flaw, and the reported consequence is disclosure only, with no integrity or availability impact.
