Unauthenticated configuration modification via unchecked setConfig
Published Feb 21, 2026 · Updated Feb 21, 2026
Improper authorization in FunAdmin 7.1.0-rc1 through 7.1.0-rc4 allows remote attackers to modify system configuration without logging in. Ajax.php's setConfig method accepts attacker-controlled code and value parameters, looks up the named configuration record, and saves the supplied value without an authentication or permission check. No account or user interaction is required; the bounded demonstrated consequence is an unauthorized write to an existing configuration value.
