Unauthenticated password reset via attacker-controlled verification
Published Feb 21, 2026 · Updated Feb 21, 2026
Weak password recovery in FunAdmin 7.1.0-rc1 through 7.1.0-rc4 allows remote attackers to reset arbitrary users' passwords. Member.php::repass compares the attacker-supplied forget_code cookie with the attacker-supplied vercode POST value, allowing both sides of the verification check to match. No authentication is required; supplying a target user ID changes that account's password and enables login when its username is known.
