Code execution via USD out-of-bounds write
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Model I/O in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted image. The USD library fails to validate user-supplied image data before writing beyond the end of an allocated buffer. Image processing and user interaction are required, and resulting code executes in the context of the affected process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
