Unauthenticated payment bypass via reusable PaymentIntent
Published Mar 13, 2026 · Updated Mar 13, 2026
Missing authorization in Formidable Forms 6.28 and earlier allows remote attackers to mark higher-value Stripe payments complete. The Stripe Link return handler trusts any completed PaymentIntent without comparing its amount to the expected payment, while verify_intent binds only the client secret. Unauthenticated reuse of a completed low-value intent can therefore finalize a different high-value payment, enabling goods or services to be obtained without full payment.
