Unauthenticated SSH access via hard-coded user password
Published Mar 4, 2026 · Updated Mar 4, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in IDC SFX2100 Satellite Receiver SFX2100 allow remote attackers to gain unauthorized SSH access. The appliance ships an undocumented user account with the fixed password 12345, so its SSH service accepts a credential shared across devices. Network reachability to SSH is the only reported gate; successful login starts a restricted shell that permits creation of a fully interactive pseudo-terminal.
