Authenticated root command execution via traceroute flags
Published Mar 4, 2026 · Updated Mar 4, 2026
OS command injection in IDC SFX web management interface 101 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The traceroute backend passes the flags parameter into a shell command after client-side filtering that checks only the first semicolon, so a pipe starts another command. Low-privileged authentication and network access to the management interface are sufficient; injected commands run with root privileges and can fully control the appliance.
