Authenticated root command execution via Ping parameter
Published Mar 4, 2026 · Updated Mar 4, 2026
OS command injection in IDC SFX Series SuperFlex web management interface 101 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The /IDC_Ping/main.cgi Ping utility applies a semicolon denylist to IPaddr but passes alternate shell metacharacters such as a pipe. Valid interface credentials and network access are required; successful requests provide root-level control of the receiver appliance.
