Authenticated code execution via unchecked stack copy
Published Feb 21, 2026 · Updated Feb 21, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda A18 15.13.07.13 allows remote authenticated users to crash httpd or execute code via WifiExtraSet. The fromSetWirelessRepeat handler passes wpapsk_crypto5g to set_repeat5, which uses strcpy to copy it without a length check into a 16-byte stack buffer. The configured5g flag must be true and a valid administrative session is required; oversized input crashes the web interface, while controlled stack corruption enables code execution.
