Administrator code execution via current-directory DLL loading
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Uncontrolled DLL search in RATOC RAID Monitoring Manager for Windows before 2.00.009.260220 allows local users to run code as administrator. The installer searches its current directory for certain DLLs and loads a crafted DLL placed beside it instead of restricting resolution to trusted paths. Exploitation requires a user to place the attacker-supplied DLL with the installer and launch it; the injected code inherits administrator privileges.
