Information disclosure and service interruption via offset overflow

Integer overflow in Intel Slim Bootloader UEFI firmware allows local users to disclose data or interrupt service through a crafted firmware update. The GetSvn routine treats the signed Stage1A firmware-volume base offset as unsigned, so its address calculation can wrap or point outside the intended range. Exploitation requires an authenticated low-privilege local user and active user interaction; integrity is unaffected.
