DLL hijacking in Acronis Cyber Protect 17 before build 41186 allows local users to gain elevated privileges on Windows systems. Acronis has not published the affected executable, DLL name, or unsafe search-path operation beyond identifying DLL hijacking. Exploitation requires existing low-privileged local access and high-complexity placement of a crafted DLL, enabling elevated data access and modification without reported service interruption.
